Why Was Sanji's Poster Only Alive in One Piece? Here's Why!

The bounty posters in One Piece usually say "Dear or Alive." Meaning bounty hunters can get paid by capturing the criminal alive or confirming the criminal's death.

But there was a moment after the Dressrosa arc where Sanji's poster was "Only Alive." So those who want to claim Sanji's bounty must catch him alive.

Why was Sanji's poster "Only Alive" in One Piece? This is the situation!

The reason is Vinsmoke Judge

Reiju's explanation in chapter 826 is this: Sanji has been separated from his family since they were little, and his father is always looking for him.

Two years ago, there was a poster that looked like Sanji (Duval) so Vinsmoke Judge made Marine Headquarters hunt him down. This is why Duval was always being hunted.

When finally a clearer photo of Sanji emerged, and the government relayed it to the Vinsmoke family, Judge had Sanji's bounty increased and changed the "Dead or Alive" on the poster to "Only Alive."

Of course, it was later revealed that Vinsmoke Judge had always thought of Sanji as a failure.

The real reason Judge was looking for Sanji was because he wanted to form an alliance with Big Mom, but he didn't want to marry off his other children to Big Mom's children. Then he remembered Sanji, and decided to marry Sanji alone.
