Maria Olsen is a Danish-American actress, writer, and producer known for her work in independent films and horror movies. She was born on May 29, 1966, in Denmark, but grew up in various countries including South Africa and the United States.

Olsen began her acting career in the 1990s, appearing in several television shows and films, including "Star Trek: Voyager," "Charmed," and "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief." She gained recognition in the horror genre, appearing in movies such as "Paranormal Activity 3" (2011), "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" (2013), and "Starry Eyes" (2014).
